Why Moms Matter – A Powerful Partnership

Anytime a woman is described as, a “soul mate, life partner, mother of my children, best friend and wife”, you know she is a mom who definitely matters.

In a perfect world, all husbands and wives would be able to acknowledge, appreciate and flatter their spouses this way, but we know that isn’t always the case.

kensherriFor Ken Morris, recognizing the amazing in his wife Sherri is easy.  Married for 11 years (after a whirlwind courtship and marriage) the couple have three wonderful children, Cody, Christian and Skyler.

Ken nominated his wife as a ‘Mom Who Matters’ because “she has the kindest soul of anyone I know or will ever know.”  And he recognizes the many sacrifices that accompany being a Mom, “She has given up so much of who she is to stay home and raise our children and be there for me.”

It isn’t only this husband’s recognition of his wife that touches you, but his pride in who she is and how hard she works.

Sherri is doing what so many mothers do -she is puting her families first.  With recently starting her own business, she ‘works’ the hours of a stay-at-home and work-at-home mom: during nap time and after everyone has gone to bed at night.

morrisfamilyCalling her ‘Superwoman’ and rattling off her many titles, ‘Mom’, ‘Wife’, ‘Coach’, ‘Business Owner’, ‘Volunteer’, and ‘friend’, Ken says he is tired just thinking about all she does. But it is their partnership as husband and wife that sustains them, “Without each other, we couldn’t do it.  No matter the situation, happy, mad, sad, we do it together and it has gotten us through 11 years of great times and some not so great times.”

Join us on Why Moms Matter on Blog Talk Radio, Friday at 12:30PST/2:30CST to hear more from Ken and Sherri.  You will learn about Sherri’s new business and how she is helping pregnant women to capture the journey to motherhood as well as how this couple continues to believe that Moms, like Sherri, truly matter.
