My husband bet his friend, a rabid New York Yankee Fan, that the St. Louis Cardinals would make it further in the playoffs than the Yankees. Since the Yankees won the World Series, clearly that did not happen. The bet?  That we would wear Yankees paraphernalia in our Christmas card.  This is my compromise.
