*New* Charter Communications Mom’s Panel

I am a mean mom.

I control what my kids listen to, what they read and most specifically, what they watch on TV.

And it has been that way since they were itty-bitty.  I do it because I think it is right….  because I don’t want to fill their brains with a bunch of aimless garbage and because, honestly, if they are going to learn a new trick, I don’t think it should be burping from SpongeBob.

I don’t think I’m alone.

So, I chose the networks that provided the educational programming… you know the ones with the side bonus of ‘no commercials’?  Even now that my small people have graduated *past* that stage, I’m still incredibly grateful to have had options….

Ahhh yes….  options.  Choices.  A VOICE.

Just what Charter Communications is offering Moms as they launch a brand new

Mom’s Panel on Facebook.

Why a Mom’s Panel?  Why now?

Because Charter cares about what Moms think…. about programming, about entertainment and about what they allow in their homes.  Let’s face it….  if there is a better, faster, stronger way to do something….  Moms are on the front line – so chances are they’re thinking about it.

Charter wants to open that door and invite moms to connect….  IS there a better way?

By ‘liking’ the Charter Mom’s Panel, you’ll be among the first to know about new programs and services.  And naturally, as is always the case, Charter’s amazing Twitter Customer Service @UMatter2Charter jumps in if you have a question or a comment.

Hop on over to visit….  see what you think and good heavens….  let them know you’ve stopped by!

Disclosure: I have a paid relationship with Charter and am working with them on their Mom’s Panel Project, however the opinions offered on this site are mine alone.

Win 50 (Fifty) Computers for your Child’s School from Charter Communications

This just might date me….  scratch that….this will definitely date me:

I remember having computers in school.  Sort of. I mean, they weren’t computers by today’s standards.  Al Gore hadn’t invented the Internet yet, computers weighed more than I did, the screen was always blue with a flashing cursor in the top left hand side, and only the smartest of the smart people used computers for their actual jobs.

Fast forward to today.  Computers are everywhere.  In fact, we can CARRY them with us anywhere. The Internet is THE THING (thanks, Al).  And EVERYONE needs to know how to use them.

So….this means schools need to have them.

charter-communications-laptop-giveaway1You know if I think I can help a school, I will, right?
