As I ‘March' my way through this month, past Easter and (fingers crossed) towards Spring, I am reminded to be grateful for the many wonderful moments I experience with my family and friends.
As this is a time for rebirth, I am dusting off my ‘outside Mommy' and slipping on some flip-flops in the hopes that Mother Nature will soon cooperate.
The kids have cabin fever and I am excited to put that playground in the backyard to good use (considering Daddy spent years, I mean weeks, putting it together.) And he was forced to endure the disappointment etched on his little girl's face as each hour he worked brought him closer, but not quite close enough, to completion. Now, slide and swings are set to go and he can sit back and gaze at his mammoth accomplishment with pride.
In the next two weeks, I will tackle a little something that I hope will be a bit of a ‘rebirth' for me: a renewed commitment to money-saving. You'll get a bird's-eye view as I purge, organize and save. There will even be a separate blog dedicated to the journey.
I am also looking forward to sharing a very special story with you about a woman who is changing lives one child at a time. (You'll have to come back soon to learn more)
And, one final note for now: the Extraordinary winner of our Sweet Tee Couture contest was Laurie Hull. Her son, Garrett is the lucky little guy with the new "I am the Legend" shirt. She promises to send a picutre soon.
