Yo Gabba Gabba! – There’s a Party in St. Louis – Ticket Giveaway

UPDATED: Winner chosen randomly:  Chindogg – Congrats!

Yo Gabba Gabba! makes me giggle.

It isn’t just that I love Biz Markie for the trip down Memory Lane – though I do.

And it isn’t that my small people have watched a bizillion (true number) episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba!, or that we have spent hours with our noses pressed to the computer screen belting out, “There’s a Party in My Tummy…so Yummy”.

Maybe it is that DJ Lance is from St. Louis that makes us feel connected.

Whatever the reason – I do feel compelled to share. And to give.

Here’s the deal:  Yo Gabba Gabba! is coming to St. Louis.  But only for ONE DAY. (though two shows)

Sunday, March 21st, DJ Lance and the whole crew (yep , all of them – Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex and Toodee) will descend upon the Fox Theater – first at 2pm and then again at 5pm. (and yes, Biz Markie will be there!)

Here is what you need to know:

Tickets are $29.50 and $34.50

Gold Gabba Party Packages are available for $99.00, which includes premium seats, a meet and greet with the Yo Gabba Gabba! characters, a special entrance to theater, and much more. These special Party Packages are available through Yogabbagabbalive.com or MetroTix.com. You can also purchase tickets at the Fox Theatre box office and all MetroTix locations. There is a $5.00 off discount for groups of 10 or more. Children under one year of age will be admitted free to sit on a parent’s lap.

Ok – now for the Super-Fun portion of this post.  The part where YOU can win 4 tickets to the Sunday, March 21st, 2pm show.  Comment here – tell me who you want to take to the show and what your child (or you) love most about Yo Gabba Gabba!

This contest will run until Saturday, March 13th.  Winner will be chosen at random.

ExtraordinaryMommy.com is not responsible for prizes that are shipped from outside vendors or sponsors. All entries will be pooled together and one (1) winner will be drawn. The winner will have two calendar days to reply via email. Unclaimed prizes will be placed for availability to newly chosen winners after that time. Giveaway is open to all U.S. residents only, must be at least 18 years old to enter. One entry per person, entries accepted through March 13, 2010 ending at exactly 11:59pm CDT.

Oh my, so much fun! I think the kids favorite part would be the Dancing Dancing Time. They love to dance but they would love it all!!! It would be my 2 children, my husband and I.

  • Stacy

“Gabba” as it is called by in our house- makes me laugh! It would be me, my husband, and two children 6 & 2. IT’s actually the one show the boys will watch together.. and watching my 2 yr old get up & dance w/the whole routine and Jack Black is enough for me to watch over & over again… LOL

“Keep trying, keep trying, don’t give up, never give up”. All of the Yo Gabba Gabba tunes are always stuck-in-your-head all day. What great songs and positive concepts. My girls are 6 and 3 and would absolutely love to go see the show. Plus DJ Lance is from St. Louis and used to be in a hip-hop band my husband and I saw in college. How cool it would be to give him a shout out in his home town!

I would love to take my husband, my nephew Xavi (age 1), and our friend Carolina (age 1.5). They both LOVE Gabba Gabba (as Carolina calls it). My husband just recently wrote a paper about Yo Gabba Gabba for one of his education classes. What is great about it is that it only has positive messages and it is simple enough for kids but clever enough that it is not annoying to adults. We would have have such a fun afternoon if we won! Thanks for the chance!

I would love to take my son (16 months old) to see Yo Gabba Gabba. and my husband (I think he likes it more than my son). Every single time he hears the footsteps of DJ Lance, he freaks out, stops whatever he is doing and gets up to dance and move. I would say his favorite part of the show is the introduction, or anytime Brobee sings Party In My Tummy!

You know the SuperBowl Kia commercial, the one with Muno….Yeah, that’s on my DVR and we watch it often because Muno is on there.

My son, also a Cooper, is madly in love with that show and I’d actually looked for tickets in or near our home in KC. I would totally road trip to bring him to St. Louis to see his TV heroes. Secretly, I kind of like the show myself, and totally don’t mind watching (and rewatching, and watching again) the Jack Black episode :)

I would take my wife, 3 year old son, and his cousin. We like the cartoon because it teaches good lessons (We don’t bite our friends, Sharing, etc) and the songs are actually catchy and not terrible for the parents.

I would take my 3 grandchildren to see Gabba. They are so crazy about Gabba that when I was in the fabric store last Friday my youngest Grandson (Cooper) saw orange fuzzy fabric and said “DJ Lance” so I had to buy enough to make 3 hats! I showed him how I’d put it around his head and he said, “need star Nana”. I didn’t even know there was a star on it until I watched the DVR episode titled “Together” again for the minimum of 100th time. He’s only 2, I don’t know how he remembers all of the details. He is the ringleader in my house and loves doing “Baby steps”. The little guy speaks like most little ones do, so it’s hilarious to watch him sing and dance to BABY THEPS. He also does all of the Biz’s beats…which is hilarious for a tiny little two year old red headed boy to do. When he gets out of his car seat, I said “put one arm up” and he said “other arm up, bend your knees and twirly whirly, twirly whirly”. Now my other grandson that is nearly three only wants to watch Gabba and my 6 year old granddaughter is right in there with them. When the three of them begin singing, “There’s a party in my tummy, so yummy, so yummy” it makes me smile. Although after it continues on for three or four hours in an afternoon, I have began learning the words and understand why I am getting silly responses after asking him to “put one arm up”. I do’t think there is one song that my youngest grandson doesn’t know and he’s teaching the older ones them too. He started out being the ultimate Yo Gabba Gabba fan, he has quickly converted the other two. Dora, Diego and Dragon Tales no longer have a fighting chance on the DVR. They are so crazy about Gabba (That’s what they call it) that I bought them personal DVD players for Christmas so they could take Gabba along with them for the ride. I would absoloutely love to be able to take the three of them. I think it would make these three ecstatic. I am making them all three DJ Lance hats. Hopefully I’m picked for the giveaway and they can wear their DJ Lance hats with pride to the concert. Thanks for the consideration anyway.

If I was picked as the winner to these tickets, I would take my son Carson, my sister and her son Fen. The boys both love Yo Gabba Gabba and have fun singing and dancing along with the show. The boys are two and three and would absoloutely love to attend the show. I cannot say that they have a favorite song or star, they enjoy every episode on TV. My nephew Fen does love Brobee and Carson loves all of them. I really like that although this is very entertaining for the children, it also teaches them manners and life lessons on how to treat other children. How to greet people, say please and thank you and even not to bite or pull hair. I would really enjoy taking them. They would love it.

I have several granchildren, but three out of the 11 are of the age that they are very fascinated by Yo Gabba Gabba. They watch it every time it is on tv and sing and dance along. It would be a real treat if I could take them to this concert.

  • Jerry

I have two children that I would like to take, both are two and one has a sibling (7) that would be jealous if she didn’t get to go. She sits and watches with them even though she would rather watch Hannah. She knows all of the songs and takes her spot as Foofa when they play together. She’s really great with the little ones. They are fanatical Gabba Gabba fans. I hope I am picked for the free tickets.

  • Levi

If I would win these tickets, I would take my son and daughter. They are big Yo Gabba Gabba fans. It would be nice for the four of us to go as a family, me, their mom and the kids. Thank you.

  • Ralph

This program is entertaining for kids and educational at the same time. I have three grandsons that I would take along. It would be a boys afternoon out.
