American Girl Doll- Marie-Grace Winners

Delaney and I are excited to announce that we have chosen not just one, but TWO winners for Marie-Grace Giveaway. It was a hard decision so we are grateful for your patience! We were so in love with the amazing stories so many of you shared, it was impossible to choose just one.  So, in addition to giving away the Marie-Grace doll we have here in our home, we are purchasing a second doll to give. (We would have loved to have gifted one to each entrant if we could)

Thank you so much to everyone who entered.

The Winners are Ammie Pope (for her daughter Amanda) and Amy Lundmark (for her daughter Brianna).

I have to respond here in a similar fashion as I did to your ‘liars’ comment on the original contest.  Though you have posted with two different names, your email & IP addresses are the same.  You entered the contest on Oct 26th – after it had ended which means your entry didn’t qualify for consideration.  Regardless of that fact, your not winning a contest does not make the actual winners (nor myself & daughter) ‘liars’.  We worked very hard (even comparing IP address from many duplicate entries and taking contest rules into consideration) to make sure we were being both fair and considerate.  We also did choose to use our own money to purchase a second doll because we were moved by the stories that were shared.  I would not have done that for a ‘friend’ nor for someone we didn’t believe to be deserving.  We did it because we wanted to bring some joy to a child.   We do wish it could have been more. And while I don’t owe you an explanation – I am not comfortable with being called a liar – especially when my goal was two-fold – to do something kind AND to teach my daughter an important lesson about giving.

I guess thats fine but just when I told my girl about the contest she want CRAZY that she was going to get her FIRST american girl! (And it put a smile on my face that She has a chance to get one) but now when I tell her she will be so dispointed! (Plus we went out and bought fabric for cloths for Marie-Grace and mabe ALOT of cloths) So now when i  tell her she WILL(UNDERLINED “WILL”) be SO SAD. I know it is fair but she wanted this SO bad! Plus just yesterday i lost my job and i live w/ just her.
    Thanks for the chance.

I do hate to hear that your daughter will be disappointed as I know there are other girls who are as well, but it simply wasn’t possible for me to provide a Marie-Grace for everyone.  We originally only planned to give the one away, but I actually purchased a second one because we were moved by so many stories….

Thats fine I will keep looking for more contests, she was REALLY disappointed when i told her. its just that yesterday when she was outside w/ her two friends they BOTH turned on her and her other friend lives in canda so she is going to make new firends but the question is WHEN? she is 11 and she helps out w/ 4-5 yr olds and 2-3 yr olds so she get along better w/ young kids. So…
