We can't wait for you to add your favorites to our growing list! ~Brand New Extraordinary Places~ (click here) ~Take a Look at our Extraordinary Products~ Extraordinary People: I can't talk about Extraordinary Mommys without talking about my own.... She has always been a perfect example of what it means to put your family first. She wouldn't hesitate to take the smallest piece of chicken, to go last when she would have loved to go first, or to make sure my brother and I had enough love and hugs to feel truly special. She brings the same joy she took in raising us to the time she spends with my children. That love, that joy, those hugs....they all make my mom Extraordinary. Carey Schumacher, the owner of Barefoot Memories, is a mom, a photographer and now, a mentor. (She took that amazing picture of my mom and daughter just above this paragraph!) Now, she is sharing her Extraordinary photography talent with other moms and dads through workshops. The goal: to help parents take better pictures of their kids. I realize, since her first workshop, on February 13th, is in San Diego, many of you won't be able to attend...but you can visit her new website, www.myfuncamera.com for all sorts of advice. (and if you sign up for Carey's blog...you'll get regular photography tips) Carey will also be doing an in-depth seminar in May with fellow mentor-photographer Mera Koh. Learn how Mera is helping parents to get the best shots of their kids at www.refusetosaycheese.com You can always plan a warm weather vacation around a workshop :) Gina Kelly, a St. Louis Photographer and owner of Art by Gina and Lace Images makes 'Giving' a way a of life. She is a mom, an entrepreneur, a friend, and an incredible volunteer...working with more than 20 charities, including the Albert Pujols Family Foundation, Young Moms of Down Syndrome and the St. Louis Family Church (benefitting inner city kids), Covenant House, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and the Kurt Warner Foundation. Her talent for photography has made her well known, but it is her heart and hard work that make her popular.
