I think you know, I truly believe reading with your children is one of the greatest gifts you can give. 

As my daughter has grown from an infant, to a toddler, to a little girl – her interest in books has increased.  And I know that is, in part, due to the time we spent reading together.

welcomelittleone_interior2We own Welcome, Little One.  Both of my children think it is fascinating – even though they are clearly past the infant stage.  It is a wonderful, interactive book that celebrates that magic and joy that arrive when the new baby does.

Beloved author and artist Sandra Magsamen uses soothing, lulling text and a wide variety of novelty elements, including touch-and-feels, pull-tabs, lift-the-flaps, a musical sound chip, pop-ups and more to celebrate baby’s arrival.  You will clearly remember all of the special moments you experienced when baby arrived.

    I always love Grimm’s Fairytales and remember reading them over and over again. I also loved the original Sleeping Beauty and hope my children and grandchildren will come to appreciate this older stories as much as I do.

    Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is s classic for me. It was one of the first books I reached for when I started teaching because it was my favorite growing up.

    My favorite books growing up was pretty much anything written by Shel Silverstein. My favorites were ‘Where the Sidewalk Ends’ and ‘A Light in the Attic.’ These are fun poems that I loved to read and also love to read to my kids. These are classics that never get old!
