Thirty-seven days until Christmas, but who is counting?
Well, I am, if you must know.
I’m not one of those people who manages to do their holiday shopping all year round. And if, by chance, I do see a gift for someone in June, I often hide it and then forget about it. I’m awesome like that. So NOW is my ideal gift-shopping time. Some people are EASY, but naturally we all have friends and family members who completely leave us stumped when it comes to finding something they would both love and use.
I truly love to give gifts. But more than that, I really want to give the perfect gift. I want to give someone a gift that makes their face light up. That means seeking out something they want, that fits their personality.
Well, here is a new trick for you.

It is called GiftPicks, from SheKnows. It’s an app that connects right through Facebook. GiftPicks pairs the people you have to buy gifts for with suggestions for gifts they will love. And it is simple.
I connect my Facebook, click on some of the people on my holiday list and the app gives me ‘Top Gift Picks’. To try it out, I started by picking my close friend Donna. GiftPicks narrowed the gift giving categories down by telling me some of Donna’s main interests: Home, Beauty, TV, Foodie and Pop-Culture and then suggested actual gifts.
It was fun to see what the app suggested, to browse through some new ideas and see items that might be ideal for her. Right away, I could see the categories I would jump to first. Knowing my friend as I do, I likely wouldn’t get her a DVD, but I love the idea of getting her something fashionable or beautiful for her home. (I love the stemware!)
Just for fun – I also looked up my husband since he is likely the MOST difficult person on the planet to shop for at any time. GiftPicks has him pegged: a Sports Fanatic and Book worm. I like the idea of finding him something unique that fits into his interests.
And heaven knows my small people are always looking for something ‘new’ to get their daddy.
And the best part… I can do this ALL from the comfort of my home. Seek, shop, and buy.
This post is sponsored by GiftPicks, though, as always, all opinions and experiences are my own.
