ExtraordinaryMommy celebrates Sweet Tee Couture and its owner, Larkin Akel.

"Get the dreamer's disease, it's contagious." This is how Larkin lives her life. It is a phrase she created and one that has shaped her current path. This motto has driven Larkin from the corporate world to her very own company. Working long hours and traveling many days of the week left this Southern Girl searching for her 'lost feminine side'.

"I wanted to create a business that helped women to feel free to be themselves."

Sweet Tee Couture launched 6 months ago and is already generating great press. With a sweet Southern charm, this little company is making itself known. They specialize in tees that leave women feeling beautiful and chic. Larkin's goal was to 'find a feminine fitted tee that would somehow capture the essence of beauty in women". She has found it.

Refusing to sacrifice quality and focusing on a price everyday women (like you!) can afford, Sweet Tee Couture started with basic Southern-themed tees, but has expanded into what is affectionately called the 'Royalty' line as well as a line of tees for our little ones.

Staying true to her Southern roots and proud of the traditions that come with the territory, Larkin couldn't resist creating a child's tee with the phrase, "I am the Legacy". This tee and the rest of The Blue Crew, her children's line, are among her favorites.

"We're all in this together. I don't believe it is the 'best' person who wins. Hopefully we can all win," Larkin explains without hesitation, but with a heavy dose of feeling. It is her desire to succeed, as well as her passion to help others succeed that puts her and Sweet Tee Couture in such an Extraordinary place.

For Larkin and Sweet Tee Couture, this is just the beginning. They have a collection in place for expecting moms (the Maternitee - don't you just love it?) that will be available online within the next few months.
