Delaney and I are excited to announce that we have chosen not just one, but TWO winners for Marie-Grace Giveaway. It was a hard decision so we are grateful for your patience! We were so in love with the amazing stories so many of you shared, it was impossible to choose just one.  So, in addition to giving away the Marie-Grace doll we have here in our home, we are purchasing a second doll to give. Music Lovers Giveaway – IPod Shuffle + Childen’s Ziggy Marley CD

ziggycdYou can’t help but tap your feet and sway along with Ziggy Marley’s brand new children’s CD!  This is his first foray into the kid’s arena and just for fun – he brought a few ‘pros’ along for the ride: Jack Johnson, Laurie Berkner, Elizabeth Mitchell and Jamie Lee Curtis are only a few of the artists featured on the CD Family Time.

Since I was given this CD, the kids haven’t stopped asking for it!

I used to listen to both Ziggy Marley and Bob Marley growing up – but not in a children’s format….I imagine many of you did too.  In addition to some well known classics like “This Train” and “Hold Him Joe” Ziggy has written many original songs on this release which are endearing tributes to his family with many sage words of wisdom for kids.

Family Time will be released on Tuesday, May 5th.  Proceeds from the sale of the CD will benefit Chepstowe Basic School in Port Antonio, Jamaica. Ziggy’s charity, U.R.G.E (Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment)started helping this school in part because it is so poor and in such disrepair that they have been unable to keep up to code on their own and be an officially part of the school system. U.R.G.E is trying to get the school back up to code by training the teachers and renovating the building with the help of the local childen’s parents.  There is still much work to be done.

Contest runs from May 4th until Monday, June 1st.

Can someone PLEASE tell me where that phrase came from???  I had never heard it before a year ago…we were on vacation with a large group of people…and a Texan friend couldn’t stop saying it.  Now I hear it all the time, but…I digress.

You would much rather I just spit it out, right?  Who won the Bloggy Carnival? 

Congratulations Jamie from SavinginStyle!  Remember…..I asked for your motivation tips and suggestions.  Jamie wrote:

I stare at my son. I know, it sounds strange. I stare at him while he’s sleeping – before I get up in the mornings – when I go to sleep and he’s already sleeping – I stare at him and remember why I get up and do the things I do each day. I need that moment of peace and sanity – my husband is in the military and has been away for over a year now, so as strange as it is…staring at my little three year old angel gives me all the calming force in the world.
