On Blissdom….In the beginning…
In the beginning, there was Little Me.
Little Me had a small website and a tiny blog. And no clue what to do with it.
Enter Twitter. Grand Entrance Blissdom.
Witness the community circle, pet her hair, compliment (despite an utter lack of worthiness) and offer to help.
Help? What’s that?
Advice, Friendship, community, passion and understanding.
And that was last year.
This year? Trumped all that.
Why?
Not because it was bigger - though it was.
Not because it was fancier - though it was.
Not because I knew people - though I did.
Not because I understand more - though I do.
But because this is now my world. I belong here - and it is these women, the women I first met last year, the ones I talk to on Twitter and skype and text…..the ones I JUST met this weekend….it is THEM. The ones who still wrap me in the snuggie version of community and hug me until I realize I am not the only hugger in the world. They share until I can say SEO and know what it means…until I understand WHY I need to make changes to my blog…until I welcome every smile, every everything.
Over the course of the next week, I will share more about this experience. It deserves more than one post….it deserves video, writing and screens with links to people you should visit.
Because that is BLISS to me.

I’ve still been trying to figure out how to put it into words.
Miss you already.
So good see you and hug you again my friend. I adore you and look up to you and want to be just like you! xoxoxo
One of the highlights of Blissdom for me was meeting you. I may be a ham, but I’m not as confident on camera; you made me feel like I should be … so thanks, Danielle! You made me feel like I belonged.
I feel this same way! I don’t think I’ve ever felt like our community was as much as a FAMILY as it felt to me this past weekend. Indescribable.
Steph
You are such a part of Blissdom for me, and I am so thankful that you are.
Hollee - you DO belong
I have a video posting later today - listed your site as one for people to visit - you are impressive. SO wonderful to meet you!
It was a fantabulous weekend! I just can’t get enough of my community and especially you, my sweet friend (and we did NOT get enough face time) Look forward to your subsequent posts!
Ah, what I wouldn’t have given to have seen you again. Soon, very soon. *much love*
Sounds like it was wonderful!
Wow-I missed a lot. It sounds like you all had a blast! The best part sounds like the sense of community.
Wow! You’ve got me pumped up to attend next year. Can’t wait to see you put what you learned at blissdom into action.
I remember meeting you last year! You had so many questions. Now look at you!
I’m so excited we got to work together on the Vlogging panel and I’m looking forward to many videos in our future!
I have a hard time believing there was ever a “little you”. You light up a room when you walk into it and I am SO GLAD I got the chance to spend some quality time with you and get to know you beyond just having you talk me off a ledge on skype as I made my first attempts at vlogging. So glad you were every bit as sweet and wonderful (and geez beautiful too!!) as I thought you would be. You’ll never get rid of me now.
M.A. - you are heavenly….I teared up a little as I read your comment. I am so thankful for you and your sweet words. It is people like you - and the new friendship you represent that make me excessively grateful I entered this community. Good thing I can’t get rid of you - I might have to chase you down! xoxo
Enjoyed your post! Nice to “meet” you!
Hey Danielle,
I love you Mrs. Bunny Slippers XO
Was wonderful seeing you at Blissdom again this year. where I first met you and at the time, you were my lil Miss Bunny Slippers. I wish we would’ve had more time to chat though. I wish you all the luck in the World. I know you work so very hard, and I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments. You make everyone feel comfortable around you and you are so friendly. I am so happy to be able to call you my friend. Hope to see you again real soon
Beth - you are so very sweet - thank you so much for this. It was great to see you - even for a short time….hope to see you again soon!
