I find moms inspiring.
First there is the laboring.
For pregnant women, it is physical. You create and carry a human being. You gain weight, you do your best to take care of yourself and your child. It is likely you are at least occasionally uncomfortable. You wait for months. You deliver a new life. It is emotional. You love like you have never loved before.
For adoptive mothers, the desire for a child is physical. Quite possibly the attempts to get pregnant were all-too physical. Your journey is much the same. You are uncomfortable….you are waiting.You wait for months, maybe years. A new life is delivered to you. It is emotional. You love like you have never loved before.
From this moment on, Mommys, you are changed.
It doesn’t matter if you are in your 20’s, your 30’s, your 40’s or 50’s.
It doesn’t matter if you stay at home, or if you work.
Mommys are united by the feelings and emotions we have in common.
You will DO anything, you will BE anything, you will TRY anything…to protect, to nurture, to love your child.
That is inspiring.
I want YOU to be inspired, to feel inspired.
I want you to remember that you are Extraordinary.
Extraordinary doesn’t necessarily mean fabulous. The alternative definition is ‘going above and beyond what is ordinary or usual.'
THAT is what we do every day. We go BEYOND for our children.
That makes YOU extraordinary.
